Client Need: A through-glass touch-screen, interactive solution was needed for a street-level consumer demo of the new Windows 8 OS that was launching all around the world. Featured all over New York City, the requirements included making swipe gestures available to showcase the charms and swipe features of Windows 8.
Project Backstory: Microsoft Windows 8 was the biggest product change to the Microsoft brand since its inception and with that, Microsoft was looking to launch in a big way, globally. In addition to the many marketing methods being used to debut the new and entirely redesigned platform, Microsoft was wanting to add an interactive component to showcase what the operating system was now capable of. With a floating projected touch-screen image on glass at local STAPLES retail locations in the city, Microsoft desired to show off the new platform interactively through glass.
